微生物遺伝子資源の大規模収集とデータベース化を基盤としたバイオものづくり
Biomanufacturing Based on Large-Scale Collection and Database Construction of Microbial Gene Resources
我々は、未培養微生物を含む多様な微生物から遺伝子情報を大規模に取得し、機能探索に利用可能な遺伝子データベースとして整備することで、新規酵素・有用遺伝子の探索基盤を構築している。本講演では、早稲田大学で進めてきたシングルセルゲノム解析技術と、bitBiomeにおける微生物遺伝子データベースの構築およびバイオものづくり応用への展開を概説する。
We are developing a platform for discovering novel enzymes and useful genes by collecting genetic information at large scale from diverse microorganisms, including uncultured microbes, and organizing these data into a gene database for functional exploration. In this seminar, I will introduce single-cell genome analysis technologies developed at Waseda University, as well as the construction of microbial gene databases at bitBiome and their application to biomanufacturing.
